Do diapers expire?

My sister gave us some Huggies that she had but no longer needed. My husband noticed that on the boxes it said "Purge Date 12/2021". So we were thinking that that maybe means expired? My sister's youngest is not up to 1 year old, so the diapers would have been bought not more than 1 year ago. The boxes are still unopened. Are they ok to use for our baby?

What I am seeing online is they have a shelf life of 2 years but don't necessarily expire! They just may not be as effective if its multiple years! Sounds like you should still be good though?🤷‍♀️

Dipers really don't expire

Sorry, I meant Purge date of 12/2020

Thanks ladies! I appreciate your responses. Yeah, I really hated to have to throw them out. I'll keep them then.

Maybe the chemicals in the stripe wear out or something after a while so it might not turn blue for urine? That's the only way I could think of that a diaper could expire. I would totally still use them.

Ok cool. As long as it doesn't mean it'll be harmful to our little guy 👍🏾 Thanks Amy
