My 2 year old has literally gone off EVERYTHING other than snacky/ unhealthy food. Can’t get him to eat a proper meal, literally won’t touch anything we cook for him. (A lot of stuff he used to love!) any help/ advice?🤯
Does anyone else feel so overwhelmed by this?! I try so hard to think of well balanced meals for my LG, but she’s so fussy!! She used to eat all kinds of fruit and veg, but now she’ll only eat a handful. I feel like I’m failing 😢 does it ever get better?!
I have half of a butternut squash in the fridge...can anyone share any favourite recipes for their little ones? Mine is 18 months and no known allergies. TIA 🙏🏼
Hi everyone! My daughter is 12 months old in 6 days and she’s been hitting her milestones well but I feel like her fine motor skills are a bit off, I don’t know. It’s weird because some things she can do so easily. She can pick small things up and clap her hands, even on demand. But doesn’t know how to hold her ow...
Is it normal for first taste of food to be unsuccessful? Baby turns 6 months today so we've tried him on some Broccoli puree but he didn't seem very interested and didn't seem to like the taste! He even started crying! Do we just try another food tomorrow?
I thought my son was coming down with something but he seems absolutely fine in himself, he's eating fine and drinking water but flat out refuses milk, cries if I even offer. I thought it might be the bottle so I put some in his cup and that was a big fat NO as well so definitely seems to be a milk aversion. Yoghurt...
My baby is still only at 9.3kg, 17.5 months, a really fussy eater but we have 3 meals and snacks a day plus milk feeds (ebf) should I get him checked? Never sure what's normal
anyone have any advice? I started weaning about 2-3 weeks ago and baby just is not interested. She is showing all signs of readiness and is 6.5 months old but anytime I try and I feed her she shuts her mouth, I’ve tried multiple different options and a mixture of BLW and purees and just nothing seems to be working?...
Hiya, How is everyone going about dropping day feeds? My little girl starts childminders in two weeks and I need to drop her second feed of the day as I won’t be with her and I can’t express very much. Are you replacing with water and a snack? She already has two snacks a day and then breakfast lunch dinner which ...
Can anyone give me some simple but nice dinner ideas for adults? I’m so sick of keep cooking and eating the same stuff. I need some inspo for new dinners
Our son has always been fussy with food, but he ate much better between 6 -12 months old than he does now. He has plain toast or jam on toast for breakfast. He won’t eat anything with egg or any cereal (even chocolate cereal) he wont eat waffles/pancakes. He literally is living off jam sandwiches for lunch - som...
My MIL was round over Christmas and was horrified at the amount of food my son was throwing during meal times. It made me feel really bad about it 😢. He’s been doing it a while now and I just tend to ignore and pick the food up and say ‘no’ and put it in a separate bowl. It’s killing me though 🥲 when does this…
Also a recipe for fruit roll ups in the comments 🍓🍉🍒🍑🥭🫐 😋
I’m just looking for some guidance, FTM, 20 month old, they don’t have many tantrums however they absolutely run the show, now I don’t know if we should allow this or if it will cause problems down the line. My partner thinks they’re too young for discipline and probably is happy for an easier life but they won’t ea...
So my baby is turning 6 months tomorrow (Sunday 29th) and we have been giving him banana porridge and a few of the pouches like pears e.g. from 4+ months. He doesn’t have any teeth yet so will it be safe to try and encourage him to try and start trying more solid foods like a piece of boiled broccoli or like a pit o...
My daughter is 9 months and I feel like I’m failing her weaning journey. I keep seeing babies her age on at least one meal everyday but I don’t always give her solids, she can go days without but I feel like I should be giving her 3 meals at this point. I get so stuck on what to feed her.
Does anyone’s else’s child get mega unsettled when they have chocolate? 3yo is on DF choc/non IgE CMPA diet anyway but every time she has had it this week (more so but still not a huge amount due to Xmas, most today) she’s beyond upset and tonight she’s been up squirming and crying inconsolably and still going at al...
Curious if anyone else has found a solution to this issue. We haven't had many problems with her throwing food until sheno longer wanted to eat in the high chair. Lately she's been throwing food more and more. Any things that have been tried to help minimize the amount of completely eliminate them doing it? Anything...
My just turned 1 year old has suddenly become sooooo fussy! He used to eat everything you gave him but for the last 2 weeks or so, all he wants is snacks (crisps, wafers, bananas) or puree pouches. Won't eat any proper meals or solids. It's driving me crazy as wasting so much food. Is this normal around this age?
For anyone not sure whether to go BLW route or not, this is my 19mo who's been eating soup this way for nearly 2 months. Never ever have we spoon fed, introduced cutlery just for fun at 9/10m, she started using it properly at 12/13m and now eats like a pro. This is in a busy restaurant full of distractions. Trust yo...
