Do you think it’s unethical to have a lot of kids even if you can afford it?

I’ve always thought it’s unethical to have more than 5 kids even if you are wealthy enough to provide fully for those kids. Mainly because there just is no way everyone is getting what they need emotionally. For example, I know someone with 6 kids , last of which is a newborn and the oldest is only 10 and he does s...

I think the word “ spoilt “ is thrown around to brazenly when describing kids.

For example I feel as though people are quick to label a child “spoilt” just because their parents can / do buy them expensive / nice / a lot of things , that child could be immensely grateful but is labed spoilt over material things

Dictating how I raise my kids.

Not my MIL but my adoptive parents. I’m 21 years old. My age is the reason I think this is happening. Context. I was doing fine until I moved in with my parents. They offered me to stay in one of their homes as they have many and I said yes. I was doing fine on my own with my little family and they convinced me to m...

No FAMILY At Christmas Time

This time of year can hit really hard. I have no family. My husbands parents have been passed for a while. I never had a dad growing up and my mum lives far away and I’m not really in contact with her. So we have no where to go and no one to host at Christmas time. This was the same growing up as a kid. I hate it an...

What is the right way to teach this?

A kid on the playground was pushing my son. My son came over and told me “a black kid was pushing him.” It felt wrong that my son was using only the kids race to identify him. I wouldn’t like someone to identify me just by my race or approach a problem where I was described by my skin tone first. Am I wrong for thin...

Having babes later in life and family is way less interested in our journey, an unexpected consequence of waiting.

Me and my husband are in our mid-30s and just starting our family with a babe due in April. I have two siblings, one of which has three babes ranging from 8 years old to 4 years. Both of my husband’s siblings have 2 kids, ranging from 4 years to 1 year old. We’ve both been super involved in our nieces and nephews li...

Cyst in baseline transfer ultrasound

Hi! I’m curious to hear your all experience, I am finally doing my first transfer after three retrievals and they mentioned I have a small cyst. They told me to not worry because if hormones come back ok, everything moved forward. Is there anything else I should ask about this? Anyone gone through this experience? T...

Husband bonding with new daughter

So I had my second daughter in October. I am white British and my husband is 50:50 mixed African and white. Our first daughter is very dark and our second is very pale. My husband is worrying that everyone will think either she is adopted or I cheated! I tried to explain the genetics but he won’t listen! Any advice?...

Controversial opinion 😅

Those who don’t have kids who say they could never have only one child need to stfu 🫢 Have one and then come back to me. OR EVEN BETTER have one by accident, low income, traumatic birth/pregnancy and THEN come back to me 🥰

It was hard on me mentally and physically. I would like to have a second kid so that my first born can have a friend and sibling. That is...
