Yes I have found that it ‘retreated’ a little bit. And if you’re early postpartum remember that everything down there is still changing and tightening and going back to norma for months after your give birth. The main improvement has been with symptoms though. At the start I felt like I had a ping pong ball coming out from my vagina, and I hated that awful bulging feeling. I don’t have that at all now unless I’ve had a long day on my feet and I’m tired. Pelvic rest (laying on the floor on your back with cushions under your backside and feet elevated on a chair) helps too.
It could be… it does look similar to what mine did early post-partum. I saw a pelvic floor physio and she gave me exercises to do and some other advice that I’ve been following and nine months postpartum now I’m glad to say symptoms have improved a lot. But if you don’t have healthcare to see a physio, there are lots of free resources out there that give practically the same advice I was given by the physio. On Instagram I find these accounts useful: @getmomstrong @coreandfloorrestore @empoweredmother @thelaurenohayon I was told that surgery is not recommended until you’ve finished having kids. So pelvic floor exercises are the main treatment for me. It’s is annoying that there is no quick fix for prolapse, but stick to the exercises everyday and they do make a difference! I also find using EVB ‘prolapse pants’ help reduce symptoms when I go on walks. Good luck! And just remember- it will get better!
