Keagel question

Long story! I have seen a ppt and she has recommended relaxing exercises along with keagels. So I was on track for a bit. Then fell off track. I have found I have been so stressed to even get in the mindset to do them. So now things have gotten worse. Where the other day I believe I now have a rectocele prolapse possibly. Freaking out like how bad it is but apparently keagels can help reverse this. So now I am realizing how important it is to take time everyday and do these exercises. I find it so hard to get into the zone I almost see it like yoga as in need to relaxxxx. Does this sound crazy I am struggling with this? Does anyone have any advice or any suggestions so I can make these changes please!

Hi, I have an app called Kegel that reminds me to do the exercises. I also stopped doing them at some point as life got in the way and I ignored the notifications and then stopped reminding me. I noticed things got worse too so I'm back doing them with the app. I find doing the exercises while watching TV, reading, breastfeeding helps as I don't have to set a specific time to do them I can do them while doing something else. Hope it helps.

@Esther okay thank you I will check that app out.

I know how you feel, I started doing them in the shower. Or when waiting for the kettle to boil. Hang in there, my bladder prolapse has completely rectified itself, so there is hope xxx

@Leyla hope so thank you

@Melanie When feeding myself? Loll because I have a toddler.

@Melanie yes, I had to progress to doing them standing up/while walking which is challenging while feeding too 😂😂😂

@Melanie you’ll get there! Don’t worry! Our bodies are amazing! By 4 months PP I was jumping around in various gym classes

Hey, how did you get on with this? I’ve just discovered a prolapse at 3 months PP and terrified I’ll be stuck this way forever, too scared to even contemplate sex etc 😖

@Clare it doesn’t affect sex, well mine didn’t and it corrected itself with exercises, see a women’s health physio if you can

That’s great to know! First appointment I could get isn’t for another month - out of interest, did you get given more than just kegels to do? That’s all I’ve been given in the past and it doesn’t seem to have prevented or fixed a thing 😅

@Clare I don’t really know what kegals is, but I can tell you that they put fingers inside you and feel all walls of the vagina to see if there is tension etc while they ask you to do certain things. My problem was that I wasn’t actually relaxing my pelvic floor properly which meant it wasn’t getting full range to relax or tense, it was always under pressure, I never would’ve known this. This is very common in women who do a lot of exercise/weight training
