Around 80/90ml from each side. Are you able to pump whilst nursing? I really recommend the haakaa pump. Look into power pumping to increase your supply and also you should be pumping every 2/3 hours especially at night/early hours that’s when you have the most supply. Have oats, lots of water, take your post birth breastfeeding vitamins xx
140ml to 220 ml for each 20min session combined on both boobs if ive breast in the last 2 hours. It's odd because on my right boob I only get 30-80 and on my left boob 90ml to 140ml . But supply is there on my right side as baby mostly feeds from there . I agree that if baby is drinking 130 mls of bottle after a breast feed they probably aren't getting more than 30ml, unless it's a really long feed and he's drinking tiny bits over time . Power pump for a bit but don't do it too much,I made this mistake and kept having swollen boobs. Now I've been able to regulate my milk supply and don't have that issue but its left me with a blocked milk duct I haven't been able to get rid of in weeks
@Elisabeth maybe you already tried but taking ibuprofen and putting ice on boobs help my clogged ducts disappear over night
@C. P. Haven't trier this and only massages and warm Flannel! Thanks will do x
I can pump anything from 50-120ml on each boob it all depends on how much I’ve eaten and drank! If I’m eating well and drinking loads then yeah I’d easily pump 120ml from each boob….my boy is 6 weeks old and if he has a bottle of expressed milk he will typically have about 120ml ….if he’s just on my boob he will typically feed for 30-40 mins before feeling satisfied
130ml, 4.5oz? I’d say at 4 weeks if he’s having that much from a bottle straight after breast then he’s not getting a lot from you at all. If my boy breastfeeds for 30 mins chances are he won’t want anything from the bottle. Have you spoken with a breastfeeding consultant regarding the latch ? The only way to increase supply is pump & feed. Keep encouraging him to latch properly and feed often. Once you’re done feeding, pump Straight after for 20-30 mins each side. Should be pumping every 2-3 hours. Even if you’re getting no milk come out, still keep pumping. It takes a couple of days for your body to start making more milk. Lots of food & water too xx
