If you pay fees you can get it quicker: https://www.etatcivil.gouv.qc.ca/en/certificate-copy/processing-time.html#:~:text=Normal%20processing%20(10%20business%20days,business%20days%2C%20on%20average).
We needed to travel as well and did that and received it within two weeks weirdly enough…
@Jeanne you can get the certificate quicker but I'm not sure that you can accelerate the registration process. 🤔
Yes including those days (which is an average but I don’t know how accurate it is) we got ours within two weeks
@Sahar how soon do you travel after your due date? You can't take a baby on the plane before 3 weeks old.
@Sabine after 4-5 weeks
@Jeanne I am hoping that happens in our case too 🥲
@Sahar that's pretty quick. Maybe you can call the État civil and ask if there is any way to get it done quickly 🤷🏻♀️ Make sure they understand the urgency of your trip 😉
@Sabine I know! I called them told them my FIL is terminally ill and it’s his first grandchild so we’re trying our best to get him meet the baby . Guess all I can do is make sure there are no mistakes in the documentation and hope & pray for a quick process 🥲🥲
@Sahar I hope it will be fast 🙏🏻🙏🏻🕯️🕯️
My sister-in-law had her baby in Ste Justine and got the certificate within 2 weeks after she applied. She waited maybe 2 weeks before applying online. So if you pay for the express certificate, maybe you'll be lucky and have it quick 🙏🏻🕯️
@Sabine thank you!! 🌸🌸I will apply for the express
I had my baby at the Jewish in April 2022 and I got the certificate in 2 weeks.
@Karen does it include the 30-40 days registration period?

@Sahar I Just applied and within 2 week I got that, her Medicare card and SIN
@Karen that’s a relief to hear, thank you!🌸
I don't think there is a way to get the registration done quicker. The passeport, yes, definitely but the registration, I have never heard about it. Maybe you can travel with a travel exception document. You can ask immigration Canada 🤔
