Car seat??

When is it time to change from an infant car seat??? My son absolutely hates his car seat now. My family suggested that I turn his car seat around so that he is facing forward. Is it too early for that?

Too early to be forward facing. Chang from infant once he has exceeded height/weight requirement of your seat.

It's way too early, they should stay rear facing until at least 2 years old but really it's best to stay rear facing as long as possible. You can change to a convertible car seat but keep it rear facing.

Way to early for forward facing and hod forbid you were to get pulled over with him like that you would get into a lot of trouble, if he’s 30lbs I believe you’re able to upgrade him too the next size but don’t do that until he’s 30lbs+. You can always get a small dvd player that straps onto the back of the car seat and have a show he likes play as you’re driving or get one of those fake fish aquarium things made for the crib to keep him entertained.

It's probably best to avoid putting the fake aquarium or a screen up. If you're in an accident it could come loose and hit your baby. We moved from an infant seat to the big convertible car seat. She's much happier.

It’s too early to rotate but my son is also suddenly hating going in the car too .. I’ve been looking into a infant to toddler seat so it can be a bit more spacious and hopefully so his feet don’t touch the seat but idk i plan on asking the dr at our 6 month appt.

you can get a convertible seat at anytime as long as he isn’t at the weight or height limit (check your car seat) but absolutely cannot not forward facing. now they say even up to 4 years old should rear face, but really depends on the car seat & size of child
