Advice needed…. Pumping 😵‍💫

I exclusively breastfeed my 7 week old son. I have to go out for 2/3 hours tomorrow and he’s staying with his dad. I’m pumping for him to have a bottle tomorrow if he needs one while I’m out. I’ll feed him right before I go. I’m clueless as I only breastfed my first so have no clue! Help I’ve bought same brand bottle as his dummy’s 🍼How do I store it over night ? 🍼Do I warm it up before popping in a therma case in the morning? 🍼Do I warm it by putting the bottle in hot water for a while? 🍼Can I freeze any milk he hasn’t drunk when we get home tomorrow? Thank you 🙏🏼

I often pump and leave a bottle for LO. 1. Store it in the fridge - I put it in the middle of the middle shelf so it maintains a steady temperature. It shouldn’t be stored in the door 2. Warm it just before feeding 3. We put the bottle in hot tap water (use a jug) for about 5 mins. Or you can let it come up to room temperature by leaving it on the side - it can be out of the fridge for up to 4-6 hours. Which suits best depends on what your baby’s temperature preference is but I found that my mostly BF baby prefers it warmer than room temp 4. You can freeze it but ideally this should be done as close to pumping as possible; I wouldn’t freeze anything left over in the bottle as once the baby has started to drink from it it should be used within an hour (NB some say 2 hours). I also wouldn’t freeze it if it had been warmed up already. Expressed milk is good for 4 or 5 days in the fridge. https://www.nct.org.uk/baby-toddler/feeding/practical-tips/expressed-milk-

Milk can be stored in the fridge for up to 6 days, if you put your milk in a milk bag, your partner can submerge the bag in hot water for 30 seconds to warm the milk then transfer to a bottle to feed baby. Or, put the bottle in hot water for a few minutes (if it’s a mam bottle leave the teat off) Once baby has drank from that bottle the breastmilk is good for 2 hours. You can freeze any left over but I wouldn’t use it for consumption. Use it for bathing x

You need to store it in the fridge as soon as it’s pumped. It can remain there for up to 4 days. But once milk is warmed up, it has to be drank within two hours. It cannot be frozen if it’s been warmed and there is any leftover, you would have to throw it away or use in a bath. To warm it up, a jug of boiling water is the quickest way and just let it float in it for a few mins. Obviously check the temp of the milk before feeding it to baby. But I don’t know what a therma case is sorry haha x

I'd add one thing to the great advice from the above : breast milk separates, so your husband will have to gently swirl it around (not shake) for the fatty parts to mix in.
