Pumping

Are you allowed to pump then put the breast milk in storage bags and in the fridge? My husband thinks the bags are just for the freezer

I put it in bags in the fridge to save on bottles

I have mine in the fridge and once I fill 4 bags I move 2 to the fridge I produce more then what my lo can drink so I use the frozen milk when I get sick and my supply is low

Yep. But fridge breast milk is good for 4-5 days vs freezer storage is up to a year.

Also I hate having a bunch of bottles around so I just have 4 that my lo drinks from and I keep them clean and use the bags for all milk storage

You can definitely use the bags for fridge. I think their original purpose was to save space in freezers but they work just fine in the fridge.

Yeah absolutely, milk is good in the fridge for 2 days until it needs to be frozen

I have!

You can put them in the fridge, but they have to be used so quickly I use bottles in the fridge.

@Lizz isn’t it good for 4 days?

@Christina it is good for 3-5 days from what I understand, but I stick to 3 to be safe. If I’m going to use it within a couple days I’d rather just have it ready to go in the bottle, but that’s a personal preference!

Fridge is fine. You can use pitcher method if you prefer
