Did you have you do ivf with the 1st one? If so, I'd probably base it off of how long it took you to become pregnant. It took me forever. Now I have 2 babies 13 months apart, and it is exhausting but wonderful!
My baby is about to turn one. We aren’t preventing a pregnancy naturally, although I don’t think it would happen and certainly aren’t trying!! But in my mind I feel if it hadn’t happened naturally by the time we feel ready (maybe in another year) then we know we can use our last embryo and try that way. I want to use that before I’m 40 so I’ve got a couple of years.
I have one embryo in the freezer and an incredibly low AMH. Currently 27 weeks and my husband and I have already decided we will look to start IVF again when baby is about 9 months. Absolutely far from ideal but we just don’t have the luxury of time, so its kind of now or never x
@Dee yeh this is exactly how I feel. Starting sooner rather than later, even if that means they are close together in age. Scared of having two under two but we don’t have the luxury of time either xx I wish you both all the best with your second transfer ♥️♥️
@Jamie we did have our LG via IVF. There were complications to the process. I developed OHSS but we were incredibly lucky to fall pregnant with our first frozen transfer once I had recovered and have 3 more embryos frozen. I am really nervous to have two under two but I am more nervous of not being so lucky to fall first try next time and I’m already classed as a ‘geriatric’ mum 🤦♀️🥰
Thanks lovely, you too. I just weighed up which I would regret more, two under 2 which I am well aware will be hard but also quite amazing or running out of time 🫣 x
I got pregnant 8 months after my little girl. I was 37, 38 now and she's coming next week. We started trying at 7 months. I used this conceive plus fertility lubricant. We tried for my little girl for two years with a miscarriage inbetween. The second try of using the lubricant with her worked, and the first try with this baby using the lubricant. Also checked ovulation and took vitamins.
I didn't have IVF though sorry I misread.
I'm trying for number 4, I'm 43, using ovulation induction first to see how it goes before I need ivf.
I felt the same about time slipping away. I was 43 when my little girl finally arrived! I know it's hard when going through ivf.
Curious what others have to say too. Mine is 5 months and I’m starting to think about the second one. I’m thinking maybe in another 6 months?
