@Leticia thank you
We didn’t end up getting him to his own bed before our new baby came. He was 15 months and was having trouble sleeping in a floor bed ect. His now sleeping in his own bed and the only thing that works was a double sized bed that’s close to the floor for him. Some nights sleeps the whole night other nights maybe 5 hours But definitely try get them into their bed before bubs comes because it’s sooo much harder when you’ve got the new baby
@Tegan that’s exactly my thinking… she transfers well into her bed from the car and stays asleep and I’ve slept with her in her bed a few times too and she has stayed asleep… it’s just getting her to fall asleep specially for her day sleep she just wants to play.
We’ve got a story projector thing from big w and use that for a quick story Everytime he goes to bed so he knows it’s time to sleep and made sure his room was super dark as he just seemed to sleep better
My daughter sleeps in her own bed. But much like @Tegan says. Some nights the whole night, some nights it's only for a few hours and then she spends the rest of the night cosleeping with us. I think having a night time routine, due to having an older brother is helping her (he's 4) So pjs, nappy change/potty, milk, brushing teeth, story time in bed (and a darkened bedroom) then "goodnight" kisses. We sit with them while they fall asleep but it seems to work ❤️
That’s awesome guys! How long did it take for you both to get to that point? Fair enough your little ones don’t always sleep all the way through but that still great.
We just moved house and it's been much more successful, as she wanted a mattress like her brother's (she took an extended day time nap on her brother's bed, and didn't want to wake up because she was so comfortable) I would say approx 1 to 6 months, depending on the child
Nope not yet
We do a floor bed for day naps (still cosleeping of a night time), that way we can lay with her to go to sleep 🤗
