Us. We always thought we wanted 2, but this economy makes it impossible to. We make decent money, not scraping by, but not living lavishly. We have not been on an international holiday for 2 years due to childcare and mortgage and we loved travelling before baby. If we ever have the chance to leave our daughter something later in life to help her on the property ladder, as ours did, don't think we can afford 2. Best to be able to provide for 1 than struggling to raise 2.
@Thao totally agree with your last sentence!
Not me, but two of our friends have had one baby each, both intended to have 2 or more and have said 1 is more than enough! I think it’s becoming quite popular now to stop at one xx
@Katie it is becoming a problem with low birth rates as it is not possible to have 2 children and a mortgage anymore.
I intended to have 1 and I have 1. For many years I intended to have 0.
I had 2 miscarriages before my rainbow baby, I couldn't put me or my body through that again so 1 is done for me x
Yes, always wanted 2, but the second I was pregnant I was adamant I only wanted 1. The feeling only got strong through pregnancy. I LOVE being a mum, but being a mum of 1 is definitely for me :D
