22 weeks with twin girls!

I’m 22 weeks pregnant with twin girls. I’ve got really bad sciatica, my belly feels really low & heavy and I’ve spent the last few days sleeping a lot because I’ve got no energy at all. I’ve still got morning sickness & heartburn too! Please tell me this is all normal. These are babies number 4&5 for me. Usually the 2nd trimester is when I’m in my element but I’m just so uncomfortable and in pain constantly. I have an anterior pelvic tilt so it’s putting more pressure on my back and pelvis. I start physio on 15th. What else can I do to feel better? It’s making me really dislike this pregnancy which is a shame as it’s my last. Considering I count as high risk I’ve only seen my midwife once and spoke to my consultant on the phone twice.

Have you considered a belly band?

@Charlie I’ve actually bought one. It’s like a 4 way one so can go just under the bump or over and under and I’m not sure what other ways lol. I tried the under the bump but to relieve a bit of pressure but I feel like I can’t get it tight enough. Perhaps I just need to keep trying with it. Maybe it just takes some getting use to

@Hayley Day ah okay! I got one and it helped a lot to take the pressure off my pelvis cause I felt like I couldn’t walk! It might not be an option for you but I found going to the swimming pool a couple times a week gave me a bit of relief whilst in there, I felt weightless 😅

I love swimming. Our local one is so cold 😂 but when we go I do love that feeling. I will keep trying with the band. It came with no instructions and all sorts of Velcro attachments so perhaps I’m not using it right. Will try to find a YouTube video or something coz I also feel like I can’t walk. It’s so uncomfortable. Thank you ❤️
