@Amber we had one, but we had family come into town and now are moving so everything is messed up! We’re trying magnesium tonight per doctors order. Melatonin doesn’t work on her either we already tried that too unfortunately. Plus I didn’t want her to get addicted and dependent on it to go to sleep.
@Jaclyn yes, I agree on the melatonin that I wouldn’t give that one. But I love epsom salt in the bath for a magnesium boost. It even helps me. Good luck
@Amber Thank you, we will definitely try it out & work on getting back on out schedule.
My daughter has ALWAYS struggled with nightmares and it breaks my heart! We have tried a lot, but the biggest thing for us (we’re Christian) is praying with her! It honestly helped her. Also, a change of scenery when she’s really worked up. Even in winter I would wrap her up in a blanket and take her outside and show her the stars and that helped too. She also was in a crib/bed shouldn’t get out of until about 2 months ago and now that she’s in a big girl bed she’s really good about not getting up unless she’s told she can or she needs to go potty.
I’m having the same problem currently My son is also 3 And he shares a room with his younger sibling and he wakes him up every night We’ve tried everything he doesn’t eat sugar close to bed and has a solid routine I started magnesium before bed and for a while it worked. We finally got some sleep but unfortunately it’s back And he wakes up screaming We have a baby gate which also helps because if we’re lucky he’ll throw a tantrum at the gate for about 10 minutes and then get back in bed I’m so confused on what’s happening
I know for some, nightmares can be caused by having sugar too close to bed time, vitamin deficiencies (a big one is magnesium. We put some epsom salt in my toddlers bath when she’s having trouble sleeping), not getting out enough energy during the day. Another tip is a solid bedtime and morning routine if you haven’t tried those.
