PIO Injections!
Hey! I’m about to be 8 weeks tomorrow, this is an IVF pregnancy so I am on medication up until 12 weeks. Having to do PIO shots every 3 days. Has anyone got any tips for administering these? My hubby is doing it at the moment and he’s doing a great job, however each injection now seems to be getting more and more painful (maybe I’m a touch more sensitive now I’m pregnant 😂) I also seem to be left with a lump for a few days after, he does try to massage it after injecting but nothing really helping. Appreciate any tips, thanks in advance 😍

Two words an auto injector. Expensive but worth it. I have had mine for the last few years

I got creative… Two ways i did PIO 1.) I warmed up the meds (just sit the ready to inject oil in hot water for few minutes before injecting) once warm inject, speeds up process & less painful 2) Place a heating pad on the injection area, let it get warm to kinda of numb the pain beforehand & then administer the shot and of course massage after. These two ways helped me manage PIO.
