Pacifier

Does anyone have any tips on how to get my almost 2 and half year old to stop taking the pacifier? He’s so addicted 😭 I can see it affecting his teeth already and he screams if we don’t give it to him when he wants one

Same here

Same here struggling!

Try taking it away during the day and give it to him for bed time then slowly start poking holes in it 🫶🏽

My daughter was the same way😭she was super cranky without it for a week but they’ll get over as long as you don’t cave in and give it to them 🩷try to distract him with toys or food lol to keep his mind off of it

We did cold turkey, we had her plant them in the garden and replaced them with a flower the next day. The first night she cried a bit for it but after that was totally fine.

I slowly started fading it out during the day, and strictly left it for bed time only! I then went cold turkey at bed time. It was SO hard for the first week, but we made it through!

I took my daughters away when she was a couple months old. My son who is 1 year still has his but only for bed and nap time. I know it’s terrible but he doesn’t sleep without it. So idk what to do as well. But your first step should be, no daytime use. Outside the bed, no pacifier. And she’s 2, so you can talk to her about it as well. She’ll throw fits but get used to it after a little bit.

When I was weaning my son off of the breast, I used suckerbuster from Amazon . It’s organic, looks like chapstick and taste gross . But it worked like a charm. I would just rub it on and tell him it’s yucky and when he tried it I would make face and say eww yuck . Took maybe 5x before he wouldn’t even try it anymore.

When I got my niece to quit I cut the end off and she cried aittle because it was 'broke' but she didn't want it anymore after that.
