Progesterone injection tips

Hi! Had my embryo transfer today, my progesterone was low at 43 when they want 50 😭 so I have to take the injections now but am so nervous because I’ve heard they hurt the worst. Any tips before I do my first tonight?

Girl! You have to get the auto injector. It is a blessing. Also, get the hot packs that you can use before and after the shot. Once you take the shot, rub the area really well for a few mins. The oil is thick in consistency.. what I did was, place the injection with the oil in the heat pack for a few mins. This will help the oil go through your skin with much ease. Hope this helps. You got this mama!!! 💕

Are you taking PIO or Lubion?

Oh that thought that is too high, is it a fresh or frozen transfer mine was 20 and the Dr was ok with it again if it’s too high it affects the implantation

@Florence it’s frozen. They said the hope for over 50 normally so I was just under

@Sharon PIO ☹️

@Bianca From what I’ve heard, PIO is not much fun but I’m told you do get used to it and it is manageable with a bit of practice. The trick is to warm up the shot and warm up your muscle (a heat pad is good for this) then massage the shot in afterwards so it dissipates (like with a massage gun). Lubion is a lot less hassle as it’s a sub-Q shot, but it is about £85-100 for a week’s supply.
