Potty training

My daughter still won’t use the potty. There’s been days where she will use it and sometimes has a little wee and then other days she just screams the house down and point blank refuses to use it. She starts nursery in September and would really like her to be potty trained at least during the day by then. I tried a potty training chart and she just had no interest in it other than wanting to play with it so that didn’t work as she was kicking off because she couldn’t play with it. Giving her chocolate buttons as a reward doesn’t work because she wants them all there and then and will lose her shit completely if she’s told no. I just don’t know what to do anymore… it doesn’t help that she’s just become an absolute nightmare in general at the moment and is having massive meltdowns over EVERYTHING!! I just don’t know what to do!

Have you tried just taking the nappies away and giving it at least a week to see how it goes? We did the whole trousers free for a couple days, then adding back the trousers, then the pants. We just put a line in the sand and said we weren't using nappies anymore. Yeah she peed on the floor and then her trousers but we didn't make a big deal of it and just reminded her that we pee in the potty/toilet and she got there in a week or so. Also the more we prompted her to use the potty/toilet the more she resisted it. We genuinely just ignored it and she took herself off herself more and more and accidents became less frequent. Honestly the less we did to "train" the better she was. Might be the same with your wee one!

We went cold turkey and within 3 days she mastered it! Maybe give this a go? X

Thank you girls ❤️ going to just keep persevering without putting pressure on her and hopefully she’ll just start using it! 🤞🏼

It sounds strange but I took my daughter shopping for her to pick some pants (princess of course) and that worked a charm
