IVF meds for egg retrieval side effects

Hello ladies, I’m currently going through egg retrieval process and I feel very defeated today. I’m on my 7th day today and started cetrotide. It was very painful and it felt like the needle was in there half an hour later. The menopur is starting to be very painful as well. I have been eating well, drinking enough, doing my smoothies. But I can’t sleep anymore because my body is in pain all the time. Anybody else had the same problem? All my friends who went through it say it wasn’t painful at all. Just wondering.
