When does it get better again :(

6.5 months and I’m really struggling. Our happy little girl is not so happy.. can’t put her down, so much screaming, crying, whinging. Finding it so, so tough. Sometimes I don’t think I’m made for this job.. feel like my patience runs thin so quickly compared to her Dad and like a terrible mum for feeling so frustrated.

You’re doing amazing lovely! My LO is the same age 7 months next Tuesday. She is probs going through a lot of pain with her teeth. I’ve been using anbesol liquid and the gel and bonjela to help her and neurofen when I know it’s very bad and she has been really good. Play peepboo with her standing behind the doors and she in the other room and leave her and just keep coming back every now and then to interact and she will get there. I’ve been doing this and my little one can now chill out on her own on the floor playing with toys for a really long time. Once she knows you come and go and it becomes a game she will love it x

It does get better. Hang on in there. You have got this. At 6 months they start going through another growth spurt, a mental leap and the good old teeth start to play up. Also weaning can lead to a fussy baby as it’s a lot for them to learn, new taste, new muscle use in their mouth and just understanding it all. It is a lot for baby but understandable it’s a hell of a lot for you. You’re doing a great job.

Mine was like that around end of month 5. This lasted a week. Although to be fair she is fussy a lot of the time, just mildly
