Have you had a shower today? One of the stones came out of mine when I was in the shower. It was because the metal had expanded in the change of temperature. Luckily it was still in the shower so I could just pick it up.
I'm not sure about the UK but in the states we now have lab grown diamonds that are waaayy more affordable than natural diamonds. A little late now but it's so important to get your prongs checked on your rings at least once a year, twice would be better.
