Was anyone diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia? How long did it take to resolve and what was your experience like?

If I remember correctly they made me do blood work at my follow up appointment too
Thank you for the details I was diagnosed on Monday had a c section on Friday I was treated with magnesium and currently on blood pressure medication I’m currently having a lot of anxiety thinking I’m gonna have a stroke I’m glad to hear that you got through it @Haley
I totally understand!! I was so scared too!! It can be a really scary situation on top of all the postpartum hormones! I was also told to take my blood pressure at home a few times a day. So maybe do that if you are not? I made my husband write down the number and not tell me because I was already too scared about it all. Sending you good vibes and hope you have a speedy recovery!

I had it with my first! I got the symptoms about 12 hours after my daughter was born so I was still in the hospital. I had to stay for 3 days (I also had a c section for other reasons) and do the stupid magnesium drip. When I was released, I had to go see my doctor a few days later and then go in for blood pressure checks a few more times before the “normal” 6 week appointment. I was on blood pressure medicine for about a month. I didn’t really have any other physical symptoms (ie no headaches or vision problems). Just the high blood pressure and the protein in my pee/liver bloodwork problems.
