Thank you!

Congratulations mama ā¤ Thank you sharing! How was your hospital experience as a overdue mama? Did you feel pressure to get induced?

@Fay no pressure at all! I requested a scan at around 41 weeks and was reassured that baby was healthy and all the checks came back as normal so I kept going ā˜ŗļø

Congratulations! šŸ¤ Iā€™m planning for a home birth and Iā€™m 40+5 currently.. Iā€™m getting nervous about going over the 42 week mark.. were you supported by NHS midwives after 42 weeks for your home birth?

@Jaide Iā€™m currently 42+1 and they are still supporting my home birth, of course they try to offer sweeps and I am on frequent monitoring at the hospital now but so far so good

@Jaide what makes you nervous about going over the 42 week mark? My care was under independent midwives from the start but I did have to check in with my assigned NHS community midwife. They were supportive of me going ahead with the home birth even after 42 weeks. I had a healthy pregnancy and there was no reason for me to be in a hospital setting so I kept affirming that šŸ©·

@Marina @Fatou oh amazing for you both. Iā€™m nervous because we are now having the conversation of the increased risk of still birth after 42 weeks. I know the increase is very very small, but in my partners opinion, itā€™s still a risk. Having him be nervous by the numbers is making me wobble a little bit mentally

@Jaide you could request more regular scans to monitor baby if that will help calm your nerves ā˜ŗļø discuss your options with your midwife and go with what youā€™re comfortable with šŸ©· good luck!
