Bleeding during pregnancy

Hey ladies I’m around 5 weeks pregnant and been having some bleeding…one wipe of tissue it was a reddish brown and have been wearing pads since and it’s always just a tiny bit of brown blood on the pad. Anyway I went to the hospital yesterday and they done a pregnancy test which was negative so they wouldn’t do further tests, as soon as I got home I done tests and all have been positive so I’m freaking out. As how did they get negative’s but mine are positive? They did tests around 10pm at night and I’ve done mine in the morning, I’m still having the brown spotting and I’m just praying everything is ok 😭

I’ve had some kind of spotting and bleeding in both of my healthy pregnancies, it can be totally normal, but it doesn’t make it any less worrying to see! Perhaps as well as different times of day, maybe you’re using more sensitive tests than the ones they use at the hospital- are you getting faint positives or strong positives?

Yeah I have had bleeding before in my other pregnancies but I was always further along so they would scan me, but they won’t until I am 6 weeks. The tests are getting stronger by the day and I also did a clear blue digital. The hospital lost my first week sample so I had to do another but it was like a dribble so I’m wondering if that’s why because I didn’t really need to go 🤷🏻‍♀️ Doctor has advised me to retest in 2 days and if still positive to test again 2 days later and if still positive to presume everything is ok untill im 6 weeks and can get scanned! Doesn’t help me though as I’m so worried but I’m trying to stay calm x

You can get false negative tests if your HCG isn’t a high enough concentration (basically you test too early) Your urine in the morning is generally more concentrated than at other points in the day, which is why that’s the best time to do a pregnancy test!
