I remember this, especially with my second! It ended up being witching hours for us! And I just enjoyed the cuddles and let her sleep on me till her next feed, and then put her to bed and it worked, and eventually grew out of it x
@Chane I had to give up breastfeeding, I was EBF but I had the opposite problem and my let down was too fast. I was choking her like mad and she was taking in too much air it was actually a nightmare. So she’s now formula fed only. I don’t know if it’s witching hour or colic, I really don’t know how to tell the difference but the screaming is something else ☹️ she’s also on colief drops. She’s generally fine during the day but the evenings are hell xx
@Emily I wish it was enjoyable cuddles but she’s literally screaming in my face non stop 😅 xx
This exact thing happened with my little girl, it started around 1 month old and lasted 2 months give or take. There was nothing I could do except hold her and try to calm her every night and then eventually she would sleep for the night. It was absolutely unbearable and it felt like it would never end but it does. Everyone told me it was colic I tried all the stuff for colic but nothing really worked it just eventually went away
@Alex my god it’s horrendous isn’t it? Feels like pure torture and I hate the fact there’s no explanation for it, she is generally fine all day albeit a bit fussy but the evenings are so bad I never ever hear her scream like that any other time it breaks my heart 😩 everyone says 12 weeks is the turning point I’m praying it goes soon I hate not being able to help her, I’ve been driving myself mad wondering if I should change her milk/bottles etc
I have the the best of both worlds 🙈💀 fast letdown during the day and slow during witching hour 🤣 laying back has helped her not choke and sputter She also loves screaming in our faces 😔 hate not knowing how to help her. Fingers crossed it resolves around 3 months!
Yeah this drove me insane too, everyone saying it’s colic but no one could actually tell me why it was happening or what I could do to help her, putting her in the bath when she was really bad calmed her down for a little while, yes just after she had her 12 week vaccines that when it ended. It’s so shit but you just have to soldier through it, it will end.
@Alex it’s such a difficult time. Thankyou 🥰🥰
Mine does this too 😔 we’ve had to start combo feeding because she would show she’s hungry but get so frustrated because my letdown is really slow during that time. Now she gets 1oz formula and she’s much calmer on the breast after that. Trying to get her to sleep during that time is an Olympic sport, so we just try to distract her and then try to get her to sleep every now and then. We do have her on colic drops because unfortunately it’s not just witching hour most days for us
