I have a small one underneath the sack, but the same as Amy. She didn’t seem worried about it at all! She said it was quite normal at this stage and sometimes to do with the placenta forming. They measured me at 7+1 I wasn’t told to bed rest or anything. She just said the bleeding may come away or just absorb itself.
I’ve also been given progesterone but that wasn’t anything to do with the hematoma it was just due to my previous losses!
I wonder why I've been told different, thanks that's made me worry slightly less. Could it be due to the size maybe? I know my hematoma said 21mm And the CRL of the measured 3mm which seems so huge compared She specifically told me to not do any house work, walking for any period of time, any lifting and that I need to be resting the majority of the day. I mean that sounds like my perfect kind of day 🤣 but just not realistic So I felt so guilty not being able too. Thank you for replying I hope it all goes well for both of you Are you having any scans in between 12 weeks too?
@Demi it would say it’s most likely due to the size and possibly positioning of it! They’ve not asked to to have any more scans before 12 weeks they were happy with what they saw today. I did have one booked in for 28th which was supposed to be my first one at 8 weeks but due to slight bleeding I had it earlier. They’ve actually cancelled my one for in 2 weeks time as they don’t need to see me x
Possibly yes could just be due to size and where is , I would recommend if you can to have a further scan to check on it, I had a bigger one and I went back today and they said it was much smaller so hopefully as your pregnancy progresses it will do the same. They said you either normally absorb it or comes out as brown blood . I had my scan at the IVF clinic today and have another at early pregnancy unit next Thursday so I may possibly pay for another one between that and the dating scan as waiting 4 weeks would drive me barmy I think xx
@Amy I’m the same! I get my dating scan date on Wednesday so depending on when that is I’ll probably book a private one inbetween!
Thanks girls, Any idea if I can just stop progesterone, I'm a proper worried and I've read in the instructions that there hasn't been any testing done into potential congenital abnormalities on infant genitalia So I'm worried and want to stop it but I'm also worried to stop that 🥲🥹 I have called early pregnancy unit but they are closed until Monday x
@Demi I’m not 100% sure! I’m in progesterone for the first time and I’m just taking it on the basis of knowing how many people it’s helped! Xx
I have had 1 with a previous pregnancy and I have one now at 6+4 and wasn't told to stay on bed rest, I was told to take it easier and if I start bleeding that's probably why but they didn't seem to worried at all said they are quite common at this gestation due to implantation so recent
