I would just counter what Jacinta has said and say that I was not knocked out at all. I was completely awake throughout. There are different sedation plans at different clinics, some aim for fully asleep, some aim for conscious sedation where you are lightly sleeping but could probably answer a question if someone asked you. I did not have a good experience so I won't share here as I don't think it's helpful. Just follow all pre and post op suggestions of pain relief to the letter, keep taking the pain relief for a bit longer than you think you need
I was I comfortable for about 5 days after! The procedure itself was absolutely fine as they knocked me out
I was under conscious sedation and didn’t remember anything after she put the oxygen mask on me. Very painless experience. I was wheeled out, had a little sleep. Had a cuppa and some biscuits and walked out about an hour later. Felt tired that afternoon and evening but didn’t even need paracetamol afterwards. All the best with yours xxx
I also didn’t get knocked out and the whole experience made me feel very strange. I felt no pain but I did not like the feeling of it, I was aware of what was going on and it was like a dream like state. However, when I came round I was absolutely fine x
Having read these other comments perhaps it was conscious sedation afterall but I don’t recall a thing and “woke up” afterwards. I would just ask your Dr more info about it and let them know you are a bit anxious about it so they can adjust accordingly. Good luck! 🤞
Hi there I have done it myself and just been through it again with my niece who donated for us this time… you are knocked out so there is no pain don’t worry… just groggy afterward and need rest for couple of days. Don’t freak out if there’s blood. You will be totally fine ❤️
