@Charlie this is so positive to hear. I'm 15 weeks pp with my first and was diagnosed with a two prolapses but really want a second baby
@Lauren i went into meltdown mode after finding out i had a prolapse thinking id never have any more children. The doctor didnt explain anything to me and i didnt get a gynaecology appointment until over 7 months later despite being told it would only be 2-3 weeks, so i did the worst thing possible and relied on google which was all doom and gloom but it couldn’t have been further from the truth! I would recommend asking for a pessary to be fitted (some doctors surgeries will do this so you don’t have to wait until your gynaecology appointment). It helped keep everything in place and reduced the symptoms i was having like period type pains and back ache x
@Charlie I've been there believe me googling everything and I tried joining a support group on Facebook but just found them very negative so didn't help! If you don't mind me asking is the pessary you got one that is stays in or that you can take out x
@Lauren mine stayed in. It just had to be changed every 6 months x
Hey there! 37.5 weeks pregnant with a baby after having a grade 2 prolapse with my last. :) Only issue is it kinda hurts to sit on the toilet and the heaviness is insane! But no impact on pregnancy!
Thank you so much everyone!! Very reassuring to hear x
@Van are you planning for a vaginal delivery? I am at the stage of considering a second baby and I would like vaginal delivery but I am worried to male my prolapse worst. Doctors will always play on the safe side and suggest c section but I have seen examples where vaginal delivery didn’t make it worst and I want to believe it would be my case if I get pregnant again
@Raquel i’m 6 week pp with my second baby. I had a vaginal birth and it hasn’t made my prolapse worse x
I’m 6 weeks pp with my second and had a grade 3 prolapse after my first. It had no impact on my second pregnancy other than having regular consultant appointments throughout. I was still able to have a natural birth but was advised it could make my prolapse worse but i dont believe it has. My second pregnancy was actually much better than my first despite having a prolapse this time round x
