Im sorry for what you're going through. I hope you get your 🌈 soon! I had surgical management after my first miscarriage. I went on to have two chemicals a couple months after that, but my rainbow baby was conceived 7 months after the operation, and she's now 4 and half months old ❤️🥰🌈
In April 2022 I had surgical management of a MM after my body struggled to pass all the tissue even after medical (tablet) treatment and 5w of trying to pass it all. If I am ever in a similar situation I will opt for surgical management straight away, the prolonged emotion and physical pain of the whole process is not something I ever want to go through again. I then went on to have 3 normal cycles, and in August 2022 I fell pregnant with my daughter who was then born in May 2023. It does take your body time to recover from the surgery, and I found my cervix was far more sensitive/ I bled randomly after intercourse or ovulation for two months following. Give yourself grace to grieve sweet. Big hugs 💕
Thanks so much everyone. And congrats to those who had their rainbow babies after 🌈 Did any of you opt for local anaesthetic or general? I need to decide which is best
I’m not at the finish line yet but I had surgical management twice and I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant with no issues so it’s definitely possible! I’m so sorry you are going through this🤍
I had general and was glad of it. I didn't want to be awake during that 😥
I had a general as it was already a traumatic experience x
So sorry for your loss. I’m nowhere near the finish line but I was worried too. Had surgical management after medical management failed in June and was lucky enough to get pregnant again the following month. Wishing you all the best x
I had a missed miscarriage of twins at 10.5 weeks, I decided to go down the medical management but resulted in needed surgery. This was in October 2023, I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant with my rainbow 🌈
I have had a D&C and had testing done months afterwards. There was no scarring. 2 years afterwards, and I have a rainbow baby resting in my arms right now
So sorry for your loss. I had surgical sadly I did end up needing 2 lots of surgical due to retained products so by all means please don’t think it’s a quick fix it took 2 months for me. I don’t regret it though as medical management sounds a lot more painful and traumatic I found the surgery very painless and the surgery’s in themselves were quick in and out of hospital within a few hours I had a general for both. I thought after having 2 d&c 2 months apart I’d have no chance of giving my son a sibling but after 3 cycles I fell pregnant again and now I’m 24 weeks along. I hope this gives you some hope 🫶🏻🫶🏻
My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage around 9 weeks. I took Misoprostol 3 times, but still, not everything had passed so I had to have a D&C. Which then resulted in Scar tissue in my uterus which we didn't notice at first, so we did not conceive the months after. I went to a have hysteroscopy. I had a second miscarriage around 7weeks and took a different dose of Misoprostol and passed all fetal tissue. We then had to opt for IVF and I'm currently pregnant with my double 🌈. Misoprostol to pass the fetus is no joke and I would sit down with more than just one doctor to think about the correct dosage! But I would try that again first, before I do a D&C. That's just my experience. I wish you all the best!!! 💞🍀
It takes a while for your body to recover when you do down the surgical management route but I have been there and I am now 15 weeks with my double rainbow 🌈 :) there's always hope xx
