I try and give the plan before we pull in. "When we get home we are going inside to ...." And I repeat it over and over and definitely as I pull in the driveway. If you don't have a set thing you need to do you can ask her what she wants to do when you get home and use that instead. Sometimes it helps. My son is an outside boy too. It's tough. Best of luck
@Miriam I try to make a plan but I run out of ideas she keeps saying no, unless it’s something muddy, involves rocks puddles and outside. We are in a very good/ boring routine we come home ALWAYS at the same time and do the same lunch and nap routine every day. My lo just fights it now so it’s time to make some changes
@Katrina yeah. We run into it too over here. Our struggles are mostly around eating and bedtime though.
@Ashley I do too! Most of the time my daughter would keep saying no and then say “I need to explore outside” no coloring, lunch or any fun games inside really interest her
Talk about what you are going to do inside? Time to go inside and have a snack! Would you like to play with teddy or paint inside? Or give her a job? Like she needs to take her school bag inside every time. It's a bit hard to start the routine but once you get the it can be really helpful.
