Tantrum Survivors

I’m reaching out to all the moms who have recently reached the stage where their child turns into a monster😭 Are you guys ok? How are you handling it?

I am not okay 😵‍💫😵‍💫 here for solidarity 😂

Definitely not okay 🙃🫠 I could use some whisky coffee 😂 /j

Not okay LOL but it gets better . But I just started time outs with my twins who are 3. It’s slowly getting better. I’ve been setting boundaries & honestly talking to them with a firm tone

It depends on the age, but for 17 months I clearly describe why he was told no/redirected then when the meltdown ensues I file my nails and offer encouragement to find something else to do/play with etc. we just don’t make a big deal out of tantrums and they stop as soon as he realizes nobody else is losing their minds.

I use the train analogy

Girl.

@Andréa I understand.

@Agnes so helpful, thank you!!

I’m not okay😭 he throws himself back and throws tantrums over the silliest things. It gets better tho, almost as soon as they started he stopped throwing tantrums because we wouldn’t respond to it. Let him throw the tantrum and then come back to the situation once he’s ready

@Fiona same here😭 I love this girl but she knows how to push my patience if I say no to something. She’s also gotten super clingy
