Sleeping on side/front?

Does anyone sleep on their front / side still? This used to be my go-to sleep position and now unless I’m fully on my side the baby kicks quite a bit. Could I be squashing her?

I guess in theory if you are more turned towards your front you could be squashing her - definitely if you are fully on your front but I can't imagine that's comfortable for you either at this stage. I know side sleeping is the most recommended position that's good for baby. Back is a no no for circulation reasons.

Left hand side as I believe it recommended, simply can’t go fully on my front anymore! Tend to wake up on my back every now and again but move back into a left hand position whenever I realise. https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/related-conditions/common-symptoms/tiredness/

They say you should be more mindful about trying to sleep on your left side from 28 weeks. Sleeping on your back is advised against because of the pressure your other organs are under because of the weight of baby, placenta ect. I’m 26 weeks and have to fall asleep on my side, tilted with my stomach into the bed, I do use a pregnancy pillow between my legs and to sort of take some of the pressure off my stomach x

I have found you can do a bit of a side/front sleep if you prop up your chest a little bit, but baby does kick quite a lot so I worry as well!!

Sleeping on your side/slightly turned on your front is no problem at all! And as said above recommended left over right due to increased blood flow and taking pressure off the liver and kidneys. Sleeping on your back after 28 weeks is not recommended due to the weight of baby etc putting too much pressure on a major blood vessels (aorta and vena cava) and potentially then reducing blood flow. There is actually nothing to say you shouldn't sleep on your front from a health perspective, it just becomes wildly uncomfortable. You would struggle to 'crush' the baby!

Thanks ladies, yeah I’m not fully on my front but wake up so much in the night and it’s hard to get comfy when side sleeping is the only option. Baby just worries me with all the kick but I have got my pregnancy pillow in between so hopefully that’s enough xx
