Moving there soon need advice

So I'm a single mom of 4 looking to move to Kansas where my now ex husband lives so we can share custody of our youngest. He lives around the Osage city/Lyndon area so that is where I have been looking at places. I would be moving from North Carolina. Does anyone have any advice. I'd love to start making some mom friends out there.

I've been in kansas for almost 3 years now. We have an 8 month old. You're about an hour from my area! Would love to be friends! I don't have much advice but the people in kansas aren't bad. The job market isn't too bad either. My old advise is prepare for the winter lol. I wasn't prepared for how cold and snowy it gets with me and my man both being from warmer states.

I actually grew up in that area. There is a lot you can do there with two lakes in the county. The schools are good and so are the people. Buzzards has the best pizza in the area located in Lyndon. Definitely be ready for the cold this winter too. Also Kansas has some of the best sunrises and sunsets you can see. Feel free to reach out. I'm only 30-40 minutes from that area now.
