@Mary I felt guilty leaving her in her play pen. She’s only 3 months but really likes to be there and looking at toys.
Let her play independently. It’s great for them to do this. I often leave my boy in his big cot with music on and let mobile on or some toys and he will squeal and chat away. You could sit them in a seat with some sensory toys? Or in a seat watching you do some housework or whatever you are doing? I often do housework with him in the baby carrier too.
@shei honestly, it’s okay. Let her play, and in the meantime you have some time for yourself ❤️ when she is bored, she will let you know
With my first I would let her play independently in the travel cot or carry her around the house in the baby sling whilst I was doing housework or let her sit in her baby bouncer chair in the bathroom so I could see her, whilst I took time for myself to have a hot soak in the bath knowing she wasn’t crying or needing to be picked up etc, or just sit there and read a book whilst also having a hot cuppa.
I would put mine in his swing with a black and white book nearby to stimulate him. Talk to them, read, show toys. A bouncer once they are old enough
You could read to her
He loves playing on his play mat with toys around him to look at and touch and looking in the mirror. We read lots of books and sing silly songs
Let them play independently, you don’t have to always be doing something with them ❤️
