Playing with your toddler /independent play

Hey mamas! Need some advice and would like to hear about how your toddler plays while you are at home .ATM find it so difficult to stay at home as my two year old seems to get bored so easily,is not really interested in his toys and doesn’t do much independent play .When I try to play with him again…lasts for about five minutes and that is it! My question is do you play with your toddler for long periods of time ?what sort of games do you play? Do they play independently with their toys as it seems my son is really struggling to play independently 🤷‍♀️thank you again mamas ,just lost and seems like we are always out the house to pass the time as staying at home seems so difficult atm 😥feel like a rubbish mum who struggles to stay at home with my son ,probably doesn’t help I’m quite anxious and always questioning if I’m doing the right thing as a mum 😫

I’m the same, I HAVE to get out or we go crazy in the house. He won’t really play atm, he prefers to find household objects that could kill him instead (think wires, stairs, anything he can fling himself off ). So I feel your pain! X

We go out every day. The morning at least. He plays with us and on his own in the afternoon but loves getting under our feet when we’re cooking 🤣

We baked curry puffs for an hour today - he stood on his learning tower next to me scooping flour and pouring them from measuring cups (ours are like little bowls). I’m a SAHM and I ‘play’ (sometimes he just wants me to be next to him) with my toddler intermittently throughout the day. A tonies box occupies him for long periods of time and he has recently started loving doing puzzles on his own but besides that he will always get me to interact with him or read with him.
