My 3 years doesn’t nap anymore. I also have a 19-months old as well. If it doesn’t rain, I either take both out to a cafe for lunch then to play in the park, and then to the library afterwards, or if I need to get groceries as well then it’s lunch at a cafe, supermarkets, then either home or walk to park to play then home, depending on the weather and what’s my 19-months want to do. Or if it’s due to be gloomy and cold, I take them to soft play as that’s indoor, I get to sit and relax, and they just go play together by themselves. That’s my Saturday. Sunday is usually family day, sometimes we do day trip to nearby towns, or a nature walk/forest trailing somewhere. Or we go and eat together as family. Or we just stay home and play outside in the back garden for a couple of hours. All depends on the weather and what we also need to get done.
Apart from the usual suggestions, He really helps with housework. He can polish, clean our doors/floors/stairs with a spray bottle. Helps with hoovering, sorting laundry/putting away his own clothes, de-weeding the garden etc He loves it, never any harsh chemicals and always supervised. Keeps him busy, with a sense of achievement and helps me out too (most of the time) Also food prep
Put an extra layer on and play in the garden. Swimming - our pool does a floats and fun session on Sundays We visit grandparents on a Sunday to (alternate weeks) Also starting to do more structured learning activities, like letter sounds learning, work puzzles things like that. Sensory play too
The woods and puddle jumping is a form favourite as the weather gets colder. Swimming, football, bike rides. Then helping around the house or him just playing with his toys. Imagination play is currently at a high, so we make up lots of games together
