I have numbness under my belly button too - 3months pp. Yes achy knees and calves!
I had a patch between belly button and scar that never regained sensation (my daughter is 4 in nov) There is sometimes some degree of permanent nerve damage if they don’t heal postnatally
@Ceri-Ann I was about to say the same thing, my eldest is 3 and my youngest 3 months, the feeling still hadn't come back before my second c section😅 x
Completely normal! Some people have the numbness forever!
Yep numbness can happen for a while or it might not even come back unfortunately. I have most feeling except for under my belly button and above the incision. And I’m 2.5 years post c section.
I have numbness 5 months pp and this happened to me last night, baby kicked me and it hurt afterwards and I woke up this morning and still had the pain. It almost felt like period pains but on the c section line so much lower than where I usually get period pains. As for the knees I already had weak knees🤣 but it could be because you weren’t as active for so long in pregnancy so they’ve lost some strength?
Also 6 months PP and I have numbness too and also get sore when baby kicks me! I agree weak knees and sore back and takes me sooo long to get up now compared to before pregnancy 🤣 I feel like I have aged about 30 years!
Yes this is normal although it didn't happen with my first c section. And the skin felt sunburnt last time too, down to nerve pain. Atleast one of my knees after birth have always been really bad for some reason 😂 last time I would get a really bad pain if I knelt on it 😒
Thanks everyone, albeit crap the majority of us are still numb and achy/sore misery loves company 😅😅
12 months pp and a small area of numbness. Occasionally the scar stretches and feels funny/itches
6 months PP and still numb. I didn’t get numbness after my first section. This one I did. Also hurts when my little girl kicks me during changes.
Ive still got numbness and my c section baby is now 7!
Still have numbness below belly button and around scar 3 years pp which as far as I'm aware is normal
