Play/Group Recommendations

Looking for any recommendations for groups/activities to help socialise my 1 year old. He’s at the just learned how to walk and wants to explore/destroy everything stage. But still can’t talk. He’s obviously too old for baby sensory now, we tried hartbeeps happy house but I think maybe he’s a bit too young for that as the children there were able to focus and engage. We go to Kids2Day soft play but most kids in the under 3s are older and able to climb/play more. I was looking at music bugs, I think it was mini bugs that was up to 2. Has anyone tried this and may know if a slightly destructive 13 month old will be out of place? Or any other recommendations for groups/activity places where he might be able to socialise a bit? He’s not currently in nursery, and I’ve not been the best at going to groups so although he enjoys interacting with children, he takes a while to warm up and be less nervous. I like to get to a point where he can smile at people and not just dead pan stare every time 🫣

@Chelsea amazing. Do you do the mini bugs one with her? Would he be totally out of place if he just started walking around the room and playing with doors/walls? 🫣

@Caitlin ah my husband would love to do that on his day. Does your little girl do group sessions or are they 121? X

@Jenny thank you! I’ll have a little look at both x

No worries. We’re starting tree tots soon (used to do it with my Son) Let me know if you want any company! Xx

Yes we do mini bugs, my little girl is only crawling at the moment but there is other children who are walking & absolutely everywhere! Your little one wouldn’t be out of place at all because he’s exploring! Xx

@Chelsea perfect! I’ll look at booking that in for Friday and see how he gets on. Thank you!xx

No worries! We do music bugs at the Velmore Centre on a Friday ☺️ xx

@Chelsea we’ll see you there. I’ll be the one chasing the toddler who is insisting on grabbing any wires, electrical sockets, door handles, prams and staring at anyone who looks at him xx
