Take it easy. Do short walks and gradually make them longer. And let others help you. Keep on top of pain relief.

Air your incision when you can and keep it clean!

Listen when they say don't lift anything heavier than the baby - I overdid it 4 weeks in and paid for it for the next week

I also had an emergency section nearly 3 weeks ago. You’ve just had major abdominal surgery so take it easy! Set reminders for your pain relief for the first 10-14 days to make sure you don’t forget to take it. They’re awful but wear the compression socks if you’re given them. Drink plenty of water and try and eat a balanced diet to try and avoid constipation (but if you are constipated, there are things you can take to help!) As others have said, don’t lift anything heavier than your baby Keep an eye on your scar (or ask your partner/family to) to make sure it’s healing ok and there are no openings or infection
