Hospital stay
Has anyone had a c section at RIE recently? What did your day look like if elective and was your partner allowed to stay overnight as I’m worried I won’t be able to move about as much afterwords and will be stressing trying to look after baby on my own whilst struggling

I’ve had two electives at the RIE over the last 21m. V nice experience, I rang the buzzer overnight for baby to be changed and passed to me to feed, then put back etc. Husband wasn’t allowed to stay overnight but they will help you. We had both kids around 11am but got there first thing ie 7am and were put on the list. Takes a few hours to actually get a slot x
I had one in March. Baby born at 11:29 but didn’t get a bed in a ward until about half 6 so that was a joke. Sitting in recovery for hours and hours without any of our belongings. My partner was allowed to stay though

I had an elective in January at the RIE and my partner was aloud to stayed with me after I had my baby so don’t worry about that x
