Exactly the same with my LO, it seems like nappy is actually preventing him from making a big poop🙈 I have to hold him always to help with it, maybe potty training would be actually beneficial for both of us😅
We've been doing elimination communication since about 4/5 months and it's going super well. We catch pretty much all my little ones poos on the potty now. Wees are harder to read the signals of but I'd definitely recommend it. I basically offer him a sit on the potty at every nappy change and if we get anything it's a bonus, plus it gets him used to the concept of the potty before he's older so that it's not a big deal later down the line xx
Yes, I’m going to get a potty. My boy usually needs to poop straight after breakfast time and I see him straining in his high chair. It’s not easy to poop while sat on your bum! So will be sitting him on a potty to help. I’m not assuming he will be potty trained any time soon but he will at least understand what it’s for and it’s easier to go there x
I think I might give it a go too! How are you managing the fuzziness with the clothes changes and stuff. I have to wear something on my head to do it. It’s hilarious 😂
I've thought about it just for poos. I know when he's going because he makes an almighty grunting sound that continues until he's done. He's also struggling due to his nappy I think, if I catch him doing it quick enough I can whip off his nappy and crouch him over it to help him have a decent poo but if I don't they are just small nuggets 3-4 times a day 😳 I wondered if a potty might just help him push a bit more out 🤷♀️
