No, they are fabulous. I had two babies there feb 2023, and June 2024. Both times I was looked after well. Tbh it's after you give birth it goes down hill they don't care about you then..

I’m giving birth there later this year and I have to say they’ve been great scheduling appointments and follow ups when needed. When we have been for scans they have also ran late but I think that’s normal these days with medical appointments and when we’ve need extra time in a scan to check things they’ve given it to us. If you’re not sure speak to your community midwife about other options just to put your mind at ease x

I gave birth there in 2019 and it was horrible. The midwife’s and nurses that “helped” with my delivery were awful and some of the interventions that they did were illegal to say the least and it was very traumatic! I’ve recently found out that there post natal is one of the worst around Manchester. When I was moved to the ward after giving birth, I blacked out on the bed alone for about 10 minutes before someone saw me because I wasn’t properly looked after and my “exhaustion” as they called it, took over. My catheter wasn’t inserted correctly and I got an infection. I’m sure some people have had more pleasant experiences, but I hated it, I recently gave birth at Oldham hospital with my second baby, and it was such a beautiful birth and experience

I had my baby there last year and I had a terrible experience. The staff were rude, the head of obstetrics kept trying to talk to me when I was in the middle of contractions and was shouting at me when I wasn’t replying to her straight away when all I was trying to do was breathe through them. At some point there was a ward visit where about 10 people came into the room while I was 10cm dilated and just in an oversized T-shirt. No one asked me if it’s okay with me and I was too out of it at the time to question it but looking back I should have just told them I don’t want 10 random people in the room when I’m in such a vulnerable position. The woman that did my stitches was rude and snappy and kept insisting that I can’t feel anything bc she numbed me when I clearly could and a midwife had to tell her to maybe give me more local anaesthetic. It was honestly quite traumatic

I had mine in 2022 it was alright, id just say their very short staffed which isn’t their fault. Was left to my own device after the birth. Due to have another there next month

I had a C-section here in August and i had no issues at all. I was originally meant to be at St Mary's but they had no space and moved me here last minute, I wasn't happy about it at first but I couldn't fault it. All the staff were amazing, very clean and everything went so smoothly!

I had a very bad experience here which I won’t go into detail with so as not to scare you, but my baby ended up in NICU and they lacked empathy and support. One worker laughed at me for how little colostrum I got from hand expressing, but I had googled it because nobody came. They kept forgetting me to go and see my baby. I didn’t meet my baby for hours after birth. I’ll never forget it 😔 heard better things about Oldham x
