@Emily oh fab thank you, do you happen to know if you can have two birthing partners whilst on delivery (as in whilst giving birth). This was the case for my first in 2022 but can't see anything about it online. I'd like my mum and my husband there during labour and then my husband on postnatal 🙈 x
@Katie Elizabeth Both my mum and husband were there during labour so they do allow 2 birthing partners yes. Postnatal only one was allowed to stay the night..I had my baby girl 3 months ago..
@Ayesha oh fab - thank you so much that's a relief!
I done my birth plan with the midwife last week & you are allowed 2 birthing partners & they encourage partners to stay! X
I had my baby there 2 weeks ago and boyfriend stayed with me the whole time in labour, surgery theatre and overnight on the ward with the babies and other mums - they were really good! But if you are having a birthing partner bring them LOTS of snacks as they may not want to leave you and baby and they won’t be given food at the hospital, only you will be given breakfast dinner and tea x
@Hayleigh thank you! That's definitely a relief 😅
@Tink oh thank you I didn't remember this! Will get a snack order in then! 😆 thank you!
This is all really helpful! Have just moved to Basingstoke and literally no idea where I'll be giving birth in 3 months 🫠 .
Hey, I had a appointment last week and the midwife said your partner can stay with you over night weather you have natural or c section birth at Basingstoke x
