I second UNC and I've had two children there.
I haven’t given birth, yet. But I toured the Winston Salem Baptist hospital and it looked lovely. They do have a fold out bed for dad, they have “traditional” birthing rooms and non traditional (non having a queen sized bed and a jacuzzi tub). The food was pretty good (my husband was hospitalized there for an accident a few months back) and they have specialists on hand as it’s a teaching hospital. I liked what I saw, but have no first hand experience using the facility :/
If ur close enough to stallings I would go there it’s the newest hospital in the area an they didn’t treat me the same as some friends who’ve had babies there but I also had a more complicated delivery and had to spend half my time in labor in triage. However if u get into a room they are huge and spacious as is the bathroom there are pull out couches for dad and other family and u can also set up a ‘password’ so if some one doesn’t have it they can’t come see u or the baby. Which may sound kinda bull but me an a few friends used it.
If you’re in the Charlotte area I recommend Novant Presbyterian. So far I’ve had an amazing experience and everyone is so friendly and helpful and truly wanting you to have the best pregnancy experience. They also offer free birth, breastfeeding, infant cpr, and baby classes
@Cheyanna I gave birth there last year. I loved it there and they were wonderful.
UNC rex off of lake Boone trail!!! I have nothing bad to say about my labor and delivery experience there.
Baptist is my favorite. I didn't give birth there but I know a few who have and they had wonderful experiences. My youngest has been hospitalized there a few times and the staff was great each time
What I can say is that UNC has FANTASTIC food- if that matters. & I’ve had 3 daughters born there.
