Getting baby out

I’m 38+6 and I’m about ready to get this baby out lmao. Do y’all have any suggestions to naturally induce labor ? I already know he’s gonna be big so I’m worried about going past my due date

Do not worry about your baby being too big. Your body knows what to do. Miles circuits and pumping is good. But patience of what you need or you’ll drive yourself t crazy.

If your partner has more courage than mine and isn’t afraid of “poking the baby” 😂 sex! The midwives have said that seamen help ripen the cervix to bring on natural labour.

I was feeling the exact same way! My baby was and is a big baby and I was sooo ready for him to come out. My back was killing me, I had to pee ALLLL the time, and I was sleeping so uncomfortably. I personally didn’t think ball exercises would do anything but boy was I wrong. At exactly 38 weeks, I started bouncing on the ball, doing hip rotations & other exercises on the ball that I saw on YouTube. I only did the ones my body was physically able to handle. For example, there were some with kneeling on the ground and rolling with the ball, those I didn’t do because they were too uncomfortable and painful on my back. Long story short, I did it one day yes, one day no and at night time. Well, low and behold I had my baby at 39 weeks and 1 day.

Yeah I'd say actually let go of the past your due date worries. Your baby isn't in there with a calendar waiting for the day, he will come when he is ready. He will send the hormones to you to start labor when he is ready to come. Some of the things that are kind of considered old wives tales end up happening around the time you'd go into labor anyways. But not to say don't try some! I had sex the 2 days before my due date, the only thing is the guys needs to go inside you, sorry if that is tmi. I noticed my mucus plug coming the second day and he came the day after by 11 hours but who is to say that wouldn't have happened anyways. I would say stay busy but rest if your body needs it because labor is just like it sounds, it's a lot of work!

At about 37-38 weeks i felt the exact same. I bought a yoga ball at Target & bounced around a lot. Hip exercises and all that; I had heard it helped but i’m not sure it did. It can’t hurt! My partner wasn’t really wanting to have sex with me at the time so I didn’t have that on my side, though i heard it helps! What really had me go into labor was my membrane sweep @39+2 weeks. I had been having irregular contractions the entire day that day. I went in for my doctors appointment that day and got a membrane sweep; immediately lost my mucus plug & bloody show in the bathroom after. Had light, semi regular contractions all day & night after that; bad enough to wake me out of my sleep but not terrible. I was still able to go to the grocery store after. By 5am at 39+3, contractions started picking up. I was at the hospital by 7am, admitted at 10am when I dilated from a 1-5 in 3 hours, got the epidural around 4pm and had him the next morning at 39+4 at 9am. Membrane Sweep FTW in my book 😭

I had a bath in clary sage oil and went into labour the next day at 38.6 whether it was a coincidence or worked!x

Sex!

Exercise. Stay active

OVERWORK YOURSELF...go run errands then cook then sweep and mop, make dessert, dishes, lol. This worked for me

Drink red raspberry leaf tea to help ripen the cervix and help with labor. I did this for two months leading up to my delivery and my son was delivered in 4 hours no drugs.
