@Emily she isn’t interested in books that was my first thought 🤦🏼♀️ music might be a good idea if she will sit still, I might get her a baby with a potty so more relatable for her… she puts all her dolls and toys on the potty then flushes so she knows just being stubborn 😂xx
Just go cold turkey and don't put a nappy back on. She can't hold it forever and once she sees the wee go on the floor once she'll get it.
@Crystal I have she wasn’t in a nappy for hours today and just refused I’ve done it a few times now.. she has accidents on the floor but not said anything or she went hiding to do it 🤦🏼♀️
@Chloe the first day is the hardest- we did the who gives a crap method. They are retraining their brain so it takes a couple of days for it to click. There is a chapter on 'older than 30 months' in the book as she recognises that it is harder once kids are older as they can really push back and get defiant. Good luck! She will get there. Just keep being consistent and also don't let yourself get emotional over it. Just clean up an accident and go " oh well, you'll get it next time!'
@Crystal when she had her last check we got a questionnaire to fill out and it had something about potty training I might need to give a few things a go. I have her nappy training pants there idea was put pants on under her nappy then she will feel the wet sensation and not like it or something I need to find it again 🤦🏼♀️but I’m not giving up she has came on so well with everything else
Have you tried looking at potty themed books whilst sitting? Reading fun stories can help to distract them so they might go without even thinking. We also do potty parties sometimes where we play music (can be toilet related as that can help) we also have a toy potty with dollies/babies so they can sit at the same time and feel like they're doing it together xx
