Following. My little boy can be like this sometimes...seems to be if he's too cold/hot but I know it can be bad if accompanied by other symptoms but my little boy doesn't have any so...

@Lauren do you know what other symptoms?

My little boy was like this always when he was tiny!! I’d get them checked tho regardless. I got my little boy checked when he was crying for like 4 hours straight nothing could soothe him (he was 7 weeks old) when they saw his skin they were concerned and treat him for sepsis straight away luckily it wasn’t so I don’t want to scare you but he did have covid xx

Mottled skin- I would definitely get it checked out x

get it checked. always better to check & be turned away cause everythings fine than to leave it & something happen ❤️

This is mottling. It’s a sign of bad circulation and can be a sign of sepsis. Is baby unwell or generally fine? It can be caused by being cold if baby is chilly but that’s quite an extreme case and personally I’d have baby checked out x

I’d get baby checked just in case. My baby used to get like this (not as extreme) when he was chilly and the doctor wasn’t too concerned as he is quite pale (which he can thank me for🤣) but like others have said best to get checked just in case x

@Yasmin she seems fine, temperature is always fine she has her moments where she’ll cry and can’t calm her down but that’s about it, I just called gp they said go pharmacist so going to take her today

This is very normal when baby is undressed and cold. As long as it goes away when baby is redressed then it’s a sign of the body functioning normally Don’t forget they feel the cold much easier than us!

Is her skin like that even if you dress her/ wrap her up warm or only when stripped down? My baby had mottling much less severe like this and we were sent straight to A&E from the GP but the mottling was present even when warm/ dressed x

@Yasmin yeah she still has it where dressed up all warm but it’s no wear near as bad as in the picture, does that mean it’s likely she’s just cold?

Get it checked out ASAP in A&E looks like mottled skin

A&E asap

I thought this meant the baby is cold. But if you are worried, go see the doctor just in case.

That is concerning, get it checked asap

Did you get this checked?

My daughter suffers with this docs were not concerned she gets it when she's cold she has from when she was a baby

My two boys got this, my first son more than my second, I raised it with the GP and HV and there was no concern. My boys are now 2 & 8 months But if baby doesn’t seem themselves then get them checked out 🙂

@Laila currently at hospital so far they think everything is okay and it’s just the way her skin is

My little girl was like this and it was when she was getting in/out the bath mostly, she’s now nearly 6 months and fine z

I would say no it’s not - get it checked xx

Update- back from hospital all is okay, no sign of infection They said everything looks fine and they think it’s just how her skin is and they aren’t worried at all:) thanks everyone

We are not doctors, we can't diagnose sorry - get him to to the doctors love - Is he warm enough?

Is she really pale? My 3 year old has skin like this sometimes and we panicked about it when she was younger but seems to just be how she is - although definitely worse when she's cold or ill. Doctor said she's so fair that it's just really noticeable on her skin.

No

I'm pretty sure this is normal. My daughter's skin would do this and fade. She grew out of it 🤷‍♀️ You can always call the doctor if ur worried but I was a parent who would spend money on the doctor everytime for them to tell me she is perfectly healthy

My little girl was like this and the hospital told me not to worry if it was always like that it’s just there skin type xx
