I had zero signs of labour until I started contractions and they went from nothing to every 2 minutes. My baby was back to back though so I had contractions basically all the time. Mum told me all the women in my family went from 0 to 100 so I was sort of prepared for it despite my doula telling me I might have on off contractions for days before “real” labour starts.
Yep my waters just broke Randomly and labour Started a few hours later
I don’t remember having any signs that labor might be close, I just woke up one morning and thought I might be having contractions and my Dr confirmed it 😅 and my water broke at the hospital after I had already been in labor for a few hours
I got super hungry for about two days and then I couldn’t stand the sight of food the day I went into labor
My water’s just randomly broke on the Saturday night but I didn’t go into active labour until the Sunday afternoon
Mine was a bit different. I had mild period type cramps throughout my first pregnancy and my midwives and checked me and were like “that’s your norm. Must be just growth pains. The week before my child was due I was 2 centermeters dilated the day I went in for my induction I was 4 centermeters dilated. I had no fricken clue I had been in those early stages of labour. They broke my water in the hospital. When it comes to actual contractions you know you are in labour. Typically you get a bloody show when your mucus plug comes out. Water breaking can be a sign but not always. The best thing to do is count your contractions and the length.
I felt like I had the flu the day of. I didn’t want to get out of bed. Contractions started around 6pm.
My contractions woke me up from my sleep, it was a mix of feeling like I had to pee & poop + cramping. The “cramping” would go away, so I thought let me time it, I started timing and they were 10 minutes apart. Previous to that I had no other symptoms, and my water never broke, they broke it for me at the hospital once I was 6 cm dilated.
Woke up to bad period pains. Baby came 5 hrs later Water broke an hour before LO came out
My first contractions started randomly and he was back to back could barely walk . Second my water broke in my sleep and I went about a normal day then the contractions started before intervention luckily 🥰
Contractions
I had S&D all the Monday night, real bad back ache tuesday day and then waters broke Tuesday night, had him early Wednesday morning! Contractions didn’t start until I was on my way up hospital because my waters went.
What do contractions feel like? Cos my baby moves so much at night and I get really intense pelvic pains when he moves, sometimes to the point I’m on all 4’s rocking with the pain and crying so I feel like I won’t know the difference when they actually start
@Kristen I was the same with my girl some of her movements had me in real pain but I found my contractions were to be a totally different sensation they came in waves and built in intensity then just stopped until the next one x

No real signs for me. I was watching reels in bed, laughing like mad, and my waters just went, thought my bladder was leaking and just managed to get to the bathroom, but not the loo before they went film gush style 🤣
My first had no sign, waters broke in my sleep and no pain for about 16 hrs later. This one I'm 38+3 and hoping everything is a sign it's starting!! 😂
With my first born, my first contractions woke me from my sleep started airing every half hour then got closer together. No previous signs of labour for me till that point 😊
