Positive post!

H all, I had my baby 24 days ago! Me and my partner went out for a meal tonight just the two of us, I managed to fit in my jeans!! I was so happy! Before I was pregnant I was 13 stone. Now, even though I’m still swollen from c section I’m 12 stone 1! But I have only Been eating dinners and I’m super emotional and stressed all the time! I wanted to say, I’ve been seeing people struggling with recovery and when I first had my emergency c section I scrolled through this group and was so scared for what was to come, however for me personally, I was complete bed bound 2 days, was walking around (very very slowly and in pain) after the 2nd day, day 3 I was able to lift my baby, then day 6 when I went home ( I had to stay in as my baby was being tested for an infection) I was able to walk up the stairs holding my baby. I’d say I was completely mobile and able to look after her independent on day 8. Every day since day 9 I have been going on a walk starting off at 20 mins and adding 5 mins each day to help, I’ve had slight pains not in my incision but to the left of my belly button! I had an epidural, and my crack and my left bum cheek are still numb, every now and then I get a pain in my spine but not something that affects me day to day. My scar is healing nicely and is as straight as possible! Ive stated to drive short journeys too, me and my partner had started to get a little more touchy feely if you get my drift but not actually had intercourse as I’m still ever so slightly bleeding, (hoping this stops soon!) Everyone’s recovery is different! But I wanted to spread some positive stories too! I hope everyone is okay with this!

Congratulations!! Especially on the fitting in your jeans. I'm 3m pp and the thought of wearing jeans makes me feel sick

@aria congratulations to you too! I hope you are able to be comfortable soon! X

Just remember to wait 6 weeks until you have sex as it takes around 6 weeks for where your placenta was to heal. Before then it is an infection risk 😀. Well done on getting touchy feely though, I didn't want to be touched at all until I was 10 weeks PP 🫣
